ANNUAL MUSIC PROGRAMME 2017-2021
So my first full time full time job was senior producer of contemporary music at the opera house. That’s a fancy long-winded title that basically means I co-curated and delivered the annual music programme, which is about 30+ shows a year, along with the Vivid Live festival (the one with the pretty lights). I know the term producer is a bit vague and can mean very different things to different industries. Essentially, I did deals, negotiated contracts, did some copywriting, delivered the shows, and worked with everyone from production, box office, marketing, pr, philanthropy etc to make shit happen.
